in Dublin right now. sitting on the sidewalk and using one of the free hotspots that are available throughout the city. i just found out about the network, free-hotspot.com not sure if i will end up paying for it by getting spammed at some point, but so far it is pretty convenient. coming home to Seattle on the 12th! i am missing it and everyone back in the NW, though just looked up the weather and it does not look so hot. i thought Limerick was cold and rainy, but it seems that Seattle isn't buch better. dragola.

our presentation went very well. there was a great turn-out and unlike ICA in Dresden, I actually felt like we presented for a reason, had some good conversations, inspirations and shared ideas. the other presentations on our panel were pretty interesting.

Italins won the World Cup last night and Dublin was full of Italin pride. Flags, Italians dancing in the streets and all that. Gi was feeling proud of her peeps. We shared a Guiness and watched the game at a gay bar. It was porbably the only bar in the area that was relatively empty during the game, so we got a seat in front of the big screen. it didn't get really packed until after the game for the bingo hosted by several gawdy and sharp tongued drag queens. i usually find drag queens kind of annoying because of the way they carricature nagging, mean and shallow women. but these were pretty fun, especially the "ghetto queen" who wore a baby blue sweatsuit, blond pony tails and pink lipstick and danced to pop songs. she kind of reminded me of one of my students.
