went to Gifford Pinchot National Forest last weekend.
our cabin was an old forest ranger station. no running water but a nearby creek and propane heat and cook stove and firewood and fireplace. there was a mouse that lived there. it chewed through Chris' favorite sweater and pooped in my shoe.

we had to hike about 2 miles to the cabin because there was so much snow on the road.

our cabin was near the ice caves

these ice formations made perfect handles for trying to keep steady on the icy cave floor.
