i found some burch boletes on my way to UW. here is a bolete with a slug and the skug trail on it. you can see where the slug feasted.

here they are. cute.

one was so big that a bike helmet could fit on it. it was actually two mushrooms fused into one. you can see that is has two legs and one cap. kind of a siamese twin of fungi. the operation was successful.

it's spores were huge too.

and it was totally clean.
