here is a strange email i got from the UW president.

Dear UW community,

I am pleased to inform you that Governor Christine Gregoire, King County
Executive Ron Sims and Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels have proclaimed Friday,
November 4, 2005 as Purple Day in honor of Homecoming at the University of
Washington.

I hope you will join me in wearing purple on Friday to show your Husky
pride.
