G.W. really was just a puppet for Texas oil and the rich. Why not tax oil companies to bail out the car industry? I can't believe that the republicans are still piping on about tax cuts for the rich after pillaging this country. As Obama points out, Bush's bailout is proving to be another handout to the wealthy corporations that irresponsibly use tax payers' money for billion dollars worth of bonuses and extravagant expenses like vacations and airplanes.
But republicans are the first to object using money towards programs like family planning and claim that putting money towards jobs that would go directly to the people is a useless exercise. Their tactics of dribble down economics obviously failed and yet they unite to oppose Obama's proposals, insisting on more of the same - corporate welfare.
Urggggh. Sorry for the rant but this really makes my blood boil. I hope that Obama stays strong.
