Made me laugh
Sometimes Microsoft Word "corrects" misspelled words but picks the wrong word. Once in grad school I ended up with Pubic Space instead of Public Space in a paper. I am sure there are many funny examples like that. Today at work a campus wide announcement was followed up by this email:
Obviously I cannot spell, and I even had someone else proof read the message for me. In the last paragraph, please consider the issue of incontinence as INCONVENIENCE. Sorry for the spelling error. Enjoy the laugh.
The offending word was used thusly:
The campus XXXX committee hopes this action does not incontinence the campus community too greatly.
I hadn't originally noticed the error, but the follow up confession made me giggle like a 10 year old.
