I just came back from an NCA convention where I participated in the Urban Communication pre-conference and presented on the Ethnographic Spaces: Urban, Suburban, And Virtual Communication Pedagogies panel.

Both the pre-conference and the panel explored ways to study cities and places. Many presenters talked about technology as a tool to understanding the physical world. This is always a refreshing departure from the typical talk about how the digital virtual is disembodied and in opposition to the physical experiences.

These conversations inspired me to continue to brainstorm about an SMU Garden project. Here are some ideas so far.

Maybe somewhere here?
