What's Next?

as in many cities around the country, we were dancing in the streets last night. David S. blasted music through speakers outside of his window on the corner of Washington and 5th. The street was blocked off and we shook our butts, sang and yelped late into the night.

Amy was up here from SF.

Prop 8 passed and that sucks. LA Times reports that undecideds were swayed by the message that schools would teach about gay marriage to kids. There was a commercial that showed a girl telling her horrified mom about a prince marrying a prince. WTF??? But maybe, just maybe the country will go in a different direction now.

Here's David Ury's funny ad on Prop 8.

And another WTF, this is in the NYT this morning:

...Among the more unusual measures on this year’s ballots was one in Florida that would repeal an old clause in the state constitution that allows legislators to bar Asian immigrants from owning land. The repeal would be symbolic, as equal protection laws would prevent lawmakers from applying the ban. With 78 percent of precincts reporting just before 11 p.m., the vote was close, with 52 percent voting to preserve the clause.

WTF??

This is the refuse of the Bush administration.
