The other day there was this NYT article about a couple of hippie artists in Arizona who built their home using no plans, art and mostly found objects. Pretty inspiring to see this bold approach to building without conventions of right angles and predictable layout and so much playfulness. They even have a really cool art gallery that is shaped like a labyrinth of art installations. I like the funky kitchen. I think that's a copper pipe water spigot hanging over the sink, but I am not sure.

Nice fireplace (?) and is that a lounge area on top and the stained glass and all the textures on the walls make it look like some hobbit house.

This is a detail of a wood floor!

Very cool. It kind of reminds me of Friedensreich Hundertwasser's designs. Organic shapes and everyday materials recycled. Like this bathroom designed by Huntertwasser. (I found this image at www.urinal.net in case you want to see more interesting urinals)

Oh no, be careful because that urinal site is kind of addictive. Surprisingly interesting to see urinal designs from all over the world! This one is from Namibia. There is even one from a space station.
