Bike party on a Fremont block in Seattle. There was an area where you could try all sorts of bikes, like this one with tennis shoes for tires. I tried riding it. I think that they invented bike wheels for a reason. But still..I'd like to see the footprints that this bike leaves in the mud.

Here's Flo trying out the wheelie. The wheels that touch the ground also make the other wheels turn. People were just going in circles on these crazy bikes. All of the great bands and the circus and the bike trials were free. The only thing you had to buy were beers that were served in corn starch biodegradable cups. I like this mainstreaming freak bike carnivalesque culture that seems to be growing around here.

Amy is on one of those bikes that fold in the middle so your handlebars and the frame go higgeldy piggeldy. It's really hard to keep the balance on it at first.

There was much talk about giving up your car for a bike kind of thing. I am increasingly tempted to switch to Flexcar. I wish that there was a Oly-Seattle network so that I could go between Oly and Seattle easier for my new job!

And there was the breath-taking trapeze artist of the Circus Contraption. I just can't fathom how she goes from the first position to the next. There was also an amusing juggler named Merkin. They went after the Yard Dogs Road Show, a funky band with a burlesque show.
