SF has some of the best public art and parks that I've ever seen in the US.

During one of our fun meanderings through the city, David showed me this lavender head that someone built in Golden Gate park. The sign asks people not to graffiti the head, because the artist is required to clean it up daily.

Rob and David took Gi and I to a mural alley in the Mission

colorful flowers and layers of paint

Near David and Sarah's house there was this amazing bike mural along a bike trail. It is painted by SF artist Mona Caron.

Beck and Amy are walking in front of a tiny detail of the mural that is about 50ft. long.

We also hung out in this park that seemed like a Utopian vision of the city from one of Mona Caron's murals. People enjoying the park - making out on the grass, people watching, drinking wine, smoking hookahs, BBQing, playing games, dogs wrestling and no one prohibiting anything.

There was also a ton of interesting art in random places all over the city-

loads of stencils on concrete sidewalks
