Why does the misogynistic and racist garbage sell so well to so many males? is it because it tells them that it's o'k to think and say sexist and racist trash? It's as if Don Imuses of the world think, "it's cool, look even black people say it" or "look I'm so not racist, I am so down with black culture that I speak their language."

Same old racist and sexist rhetoric (that the civil rights activists and feminists worked so hard to stop in the last century), repackaged and camouflaged into "hip" or fetishized rapper slang, packaged by the same old profit driven industry.

Do Don Imuses eat it up because it makes them feel good about themselves without working to change in any meaningful way? Do they feel like they themselves join the underclass through becoming cultural tourists, dressing like Eminem pretending to be poor and black, trying to avoid dealing with their own power issues?

Meanwhile, the entire world ignores the fact that 99% of the time, MEN go on shooting sprees. In complete and utter denial, like a split personality, so scared to examine their own faults, they masquerade as victims and justify their massacre.

Do Don Imuses take their own medicine? of course not. they can't stand the idea of being disrespected the way they disrespect others. look at how threatened they are by the mention of the word "feminism." These days in popular culture, critique of the ruling male class is most often labeled as "men hating" or "men bashing" and men who do embrace Feminism are emasculated as weak or gay (their worst fear). The norm is that "real men" don't look at themselves in the mirror, "real men" never change or admit mistakes (see G.W. Bush). Even women are trained to think this way.

The English language doesn't even have an eighth of demeaning words for men that they do for women. what's a male word for "ho"? "Pimp" or "stud" both imply power.

Not too long ago, I was blown away when I saw a white male college student wearing a t-shirt that read "bros before hos."
