wow, i just read about ashley. i looked at the website and at the pictures of her and i am just blown away. she is a 9 yo, seattle girl and has the mental capacity of a 3 month old. her parents have decided to keep her small and more manageable through surgery and drugs. there is this controversy over it now and of course god is being invoked to guilt the parents. i am always amazed at the self righteousness of these people. all they need to do is go look into a group home and then compare this girl's quality of life to the quality of life of a full grown developmentally disabled adult in a group home.

i am still torn about the whole surgery thing though, especially the breasts. can the parents go too far?
