I just wanted to revisit a post that I made on October 27th, 2005 where I listed various instances of current admin's corruption. I've added a few more items to the list.
1. Miers withdraws from Supreme Court nomination
G. W. Bush accused of cronyism, surrendering to the right wing, botching the nomination, mistreating Miers by nominating her and then refusing to disclose why Miers was qualified for the job, having no clue about who is even qualified to be a justice -- even the republicans are saying it!
2. The CIA leak case is getting broken down for easy reading
right now 2,119 Google searchable news sources have a story about the CIA leak.
here are some titles that show the media trying to turn this in to an easily digestible and exciting story:
MSNBC "Break down of CIA leak story for non-political junkies"
Christian Science Monitor "Confused about the CIA leak case? Start here."
The Australian "Cheney aide snared in spy tale"
The Guardian "Who's who in the CIA leak affair"
3. Top Republicans are getting indicted -- DeLay, Noe, Libby (Rove, Cheney, Bush?)
4. FEMA and Bush are now being criticized by the Florida hurricane victims who are wealthy, white, poor, black.
5. We hit the 2000-soldiers-dead mark and Iraq is still a mess
6. Ohio Gov. Bob Taft (R) fined for taking bribes
7. Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham (R-Calif.) cries and resigns from Congress confessing to tax evasion and conspiring to pocket $2.4 million in bribes, including a Rolls-Royce, a yacht and a 19th-century Louis-Philippe commode.
8. Lobbyist Abramoff pleads guilty for bribing Republicans to influence policy.
9. Abramoff identifies Rep. Bob Ney, R-Ohio as one his bribe takers
10. DeLay is out
11. 4th top man in Homeland Security is charged with trying to get a 14 yr. old girl to have sex with him and giving out sensitive information over the Internet.
12. A homophobic Republican mayor of Spokane, WA is booted for trying to arrange sex with young men online and to bribe them with government jobs.
13. Bush's illegal wiretapping program is being debated
14. Libby links Bush and Cheney to leaks of classified information to make the case for war in Iraq.
