gi and i went x-country skiing this weekend. it was gi's first time skiing ever. she was really good at learning how to fall. this is trully the key, you have to go down a bunch of times to understand that it will not hurt too much and that you can always get up. gi got really good at getting up.

once she was not afraid to fall, it was easier to relax and enjoy the wintery landscape.

i fell too

earlier in the season, b and i went skiing too and b broke her pole in half. we also, accidentally, ended up taking the chair lift too high up the slopes and developed a new skiing technique of sitting on our butts on the skis and sledding down hill. it was like bobskiing.

someone's cabin in the woods right on the slopes!

an old sign on the ski lodge. i like the 70s design style and that they are cross country skiing in sweats and sweaters. no gortex gear.
