The tiny humans may have been hunted by large lizards -- bigger versions of the Komodo dragons that still roam the island and which have been known to eat people. Most of the prehistoric fauna on Flores was believed to have been wiped out by a volcanic eruption 12,000 years ago, but local tales suggest the intriguing possibility that its race of dwarfs may have lived on. read on
