on the morning of gi's birthday, fri 13, we got robbed in our house. jerms was over too. here is a copy of a section of the police report. the notes in ( ) are mine. the names were blocked out in the report copy.

ON ABOUT 08-13-2004/04:34HRS, XXXX (that's me) AWOKE IN HER BED & HEARD SOMEONE IN THE KITCHEN AREA. SHE ASKED IF THE PERSON WALKING AROUND IN THERE WAS XXXX (jerms) THE SUSPECT REPLIED IN A DEEP VOICE, "YEAH, ITS ME." XXX (me) RECOGNIZED THAT THE PERSON WAS AN INTRUDER & NOT XXXX (jerms). (at this point i started screaming like a stuck pig, gi woke up and started screaming too, then jerms bellowed too). THE SUSPECT HURRIED OUT THE FRONT DOOR & LEFT THE RESIDENCE. XXX(me) ALERTED XXXXXXXX (jerms and gi) OF THE BURGLARY(they figured this out by now). THEY HAD ALSO BEEN ASLEEP IN THE RESIDENCE DURING THE BURGLARY. XXX (me) CALLED 911 & REPORTED THE INCIDENT (while being highly freaked out and thinking that our phone was stolen, i ran to the neighbors to use their phone. later we found ours by the bed). XXX (gi) CHECKED THE HOUSE & FOUND THAT xx (her) DELL LAPTOP COMPUTER WAS MISSING FROM THE DINING ROOM TABLE. XXX(me) FOUND THAT HER PURSE ( IT WAS A BAG) WAS MISSING. HER PURSE HAD A DIGITAL CAMERA, MISC CREDIT CARDS, & A WA PHOTO DRIVERS LICENSE INSIDE (AND A LIBRARY BOOK).

OFFICER HOWARD & SEVERAL OTHER UNITS RESPONDED TO THE CALL, INCLUDING A K-9 UNIT. THE SUSPECT WAS NOT FOUND. XXX (me) STATED THAT SHE DID NOT GET A GOOD LOOK AT THE SUSPECT BECAUSE THE LIGHTS WERE OFF IN THE HOUSE. (though i saw this tall dark figure in the kitchen while i was lying naked in bed)

XXX (me) STATED THAT SHE BELIEVED THE SUSPECT ENTERED THE HOUSE THROUGH THE KITCHEN SINK AREA WINDOW. IT WAS UNLOCKED & ITEMS ON THE COUNTER HAD BEEN KNOCKED OVER. OFFICERS CHECKED THE EXTERIOR OF THE HOME & FOUND THAT A CEMENT CINDER BLOCK WAS LYING ON THE GROUND BENEATH THE KITCHEN WINDOW. IT APPEARED THAT THE SUSPECT USED THE BLOCK TO PROP HIMSELF UP INTO THE WINDOW. (THE NEXT DAY WE ALSO FOUND A TIRE IRON IN THE WEEDS NEXT TO THE CINDER BLOCK) OFFICERS SPENT APPROX. 40 MINUTES PROCESSING THE CRIME SCENE.
