my last entry was so short because i only had 15 seconds to do it. i hit "publish" when the computer began to shut down. i was in a little internet cafe called the "webtrain" or "webpuccino" or something like that. the connection usually costs something like $4/hr. and so far has been 56K modem. i'm always running out of time.

now we are in Bologna, a city in northern Italy. I'm sitting in the livingroom of Gi's parent's apartment. Giorgia is reading the newspaper and translating interesting bits to me. she just told me that Madonna french kissed Britney Spears!! cool.
